First things first, thank you to everybody who backed Ground to Dust! I know it takes a kind of leap of faith to invest in a new game idea when there are already so many brilliant games out there. I am looking forward to bringing this to life and getting it into your hands!

We crossed the mark for the Scenario Expansion stretch goal, too! I can't wait to show you all the possibilities capable with the system! This also means that the Joey Royale scenario Dankest of Deaths will be released upon the world!

So what’s next?

ThePledge Manager will be sent out as soon as it is approved on Backerkit's end.

Writing/Editing - The game and scenarios are written, and will continue to be tightened up as we put the zines together
Art/Graphic Design - Everyday more art is arriving to my inbox, and I think everyone is going to be blown away by the incredible pieces that Belt&Bone has been creating! 

We are on track to have everything wrapped up and shipped out by August.

We're in the home stretch! 

I've started putting the art into the layout and it's really starting to come to life!

We're doing something a little bit different with this Add-on so follow along:

I (Kyle | Vampyre Cinema) and artist (Matt | Belt&Bone) both live in Minnesota, and have talked about how weird it is to be making a game while ICE wages war on our home state.

We discussed having a pledge option for a special digital zine with those proceeds going to support Minnesotans most effected by the terror of ICE. So we are making one. With this zine we all will provide support to Marcia Howard. She is (among other things) a teacher, a union leader, and a stalwart defender of her community. Ms. Howard is best known for her leadership in the racial justice movement, and as a steward of George Floyd Square for nearly 6 years -- which you can read about here. You should also check out her instagram here for more of what is happening daily on the ground in Minneapolis. 

Rather than accept pledges for this Add-on, where Backerkit and Stripe each take a cut, and we would have to wait until a couple of weeks after the end of the campaign to get these funds out Ms. Howard and the neighbors she supports on the front lines of the resistance against the inhumane actions of ICE, we are giving directly to her. 

The Earth Is Not Dying is a digitalscenario for Ground to Dust where you play a Minnesotan living through ICE's invasion of Minnesota. The scenario is an over-the-top pressure release valve when things feel too big for any one person to make a difference. Taking on the role of protesters (ranging from snarky sign-waving grannies to the semi-mythological Antifa Super Soldiers) you are tasked with defeating fascism once and for all. Can you make your way up the Pyramid, and clear the way for a new world?
